Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with your website. This policy explains exactly when refunds are available, how much, and how to request one. The short version: if we can't deliver, you get your money back.

1. General principle

Refunds are based on the stage of the project when you request one. The earlier you ask, the more is refundable. Once a site is delivered and accepted, refunds are no longer available except in the limited cases described below.

2. Within 24 hours of payment — 100% refund

If you cancel within 24 hours of payment, you are entitled to a full refund — whether or not work has already started. Just email us. We'll process the refund to your original card the same day. Stripe's fixed processing fee (approximately $0.30 USD) is non-refundable because the card network keeps it. If a domain has already been registered on your behalf, the cost of that domain is also deducted (see section 6).

3. If we can't deliver — 100% refund

If, after starting, we determine the project is not feasible at the agreed price or scope, we will tell you and refund 100% of the amount you paid, no questions asked. If a domain has already been registered on your behalf, the cost of that domain is deducted (see section 6) — the domain remains yours.

4. After 24 hours, before launch — 25% refund

If you cancel more than 24 hours after payment but before the site has been launched, you are entitled to a 25% refund. The retained 75% covers the time already spent designing and building your project. We will always show you what has been built so far so you can judge fairly. If a domain has already been registered on your behalf, the cost of that domain is also deducted (see section 6).

5. After launch — generally no refund

Once the site has been deployed live to your domain and you have indicated acceptance (by going live, by emailing approval, or by 7 days of silence after the launch notification, whichever comes first), the project is considered delivered and is not refundable.

Exceptions: if the live site materially fails to match what was agreed in writing, and we are unable or unwilling to fix it within a reasonable time, you may request a refund. We will assess these claims in good faith.

6. Domain registration cost is deducted from any refund

Domain name registrations are non-refundable — once a domain has been registered, registrars do not return the fee. The domain itself remains yours regardless of whether the website portion of the project is refunded.

Therefore, if a domain has already been registered on your behalf at the time you request a refund, the actual cost we paid for that domain (typically $10–$20 USD) is deducted from any refund amount — including 100% refunds. For example, if you qualify for a 100% refund of $100 and we have already registered a $12 domain in your name, your refund will be $88 — and the domain remains yours.

This applies to the first-100-customers free-domain promo as well: we cover the domain cost as part of the package, but if you cancel after we have registered the promo domain, the registrar cost we paid is deducted from your refund.

7. Post-launch change fees are non-refundable

Any fees paid for post-launch updates, change requests, or new features are non-refundable once the requested change has been delivered.

8. How to request a refund

Send an email to hello@ultracheapwebsites.com including:

  • The name and email used at checkout.
  • The date of your payment.
  • A brief reason for the refund request.

We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and either process the refund or explain why we believe it doesn't qualify. If you disagree, we will work with you in good faith to find a fair resolution.

9. How long it takes

Approved refunds are processed immediately on our side via Stripe. The funds typically reappear on your card within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

10. Chargebacks

Please contact us before filing a card chargeback. We will always try to resolve the issue directly first — it's faster, friendlier, and avoids fees on both sides. Chargebacks filed without first attempting to contact us may be disputed by us with the card network.

11. Changes to this policy

We may revise this Refund Policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top will always show the latest version. Changes apply only to projects paid for after the update date — your project is always governed by the policy in force when you paid.
